Google announced it would end forced arbitration for its full-time and temporary workforce on March 21st, 2019. Their employee handbook and internal website have been updated for the arbitration policy change.

While Google has made great strides, they’ve yet to come all the way around on ending their mandatory arbitration practices. Google has not required the suppliers of its temporary workforce to cease their arbitration terms. This impacts roughly half of the Google workforce, keeping them bound to mandatory arbitration at many suppliers of Google workers (Adecco, Bon Appetit, etc.). Additionally, Alphabet also hasn’t extended this policy to other major investments such as Verily and Waymo.
