If the parties are unable to resolve the grievance following the third step, the Union, within 30 workdays of receipt of the thirdstep response, may notify Labor Relations in writing of its desire to advance the grievance to arbitration. After completion of the hearing and the submission of the post-hearing briefs, the arbitrator shall render a decision and submit to the parties written findings that will be binding on both parties to the Agreement. -Agreement between Duke Energy and the Utility Workers of America (2015)
