Workers Beware: Forced Arbitration Can Happen To You
Robert Duffy was employed at Facebookâs North Carolina Data Center Facility. Mr. Duffy eventually learned, among other things, he and the only other African-American employee there were paid less than similarly situated white employees. He raised the issue multiple times with local supervisors and the national headquarters. After getting no results, Mr. Duffy contacted the EEOC and filed a complaint alleging race discrimination. This case is ongoing, but Facebook has shared its intent to file a motion to compel arbitration. Duffy v. Facebook, Inc.
