Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement (except any dispute arising out of or relating to paragraph 13 (“Covenants”)), and any dispute arising out of or relating to your employment, shall be settled by final and binding arbitration, which shall be the exclusive means of resolving any such dispute, and the parties specifically waive all rights to pursue any other remedy, recourse, or relief. -Marc Reed Employment Agreement (2004)

The dispute shall then be considered and determined by the arbitrator so chosen and the hearing shall proceed in accordance with the arbitration law of the State of New York. Verizon said it doesn’t have forced-arbitration agreements with employees for any types of claims.“There might have been in some predecessor companies [that did], but that would be pre-2000, or as those companies were acquired and integrated,” a Verizon spokesperson said in an email to Gizmodo when asked if the company has ever had forced-arbitration agreements. -Gizmodo (2018)
